Delivery within Austria takes around 1-3 working days. Within the EU the delivery time is 2-4 working days.

If the order is placed before 12 noon, there is a good chance that your package will leave our warehouse on the same day.

Unfortunately, despite the secure packaging, transport damage occasionally occurs. In this case, we ask you to contact us with pictures by email or WhatsApp! Together we will then find a solution.

We attach the word “precious” to products that have precious veneers. A Precious HDF board is a high-density fiberboard (HDF) that is covered with high-quality veneers on both sides.

What exactly does “precious veneer” mean?

Fine veneers are veneers that are cut from the trunk like with a cucumber slicer (= knife veneers). The resulting veneers are only between 0.6 and 0.9 mm thick and have the highest surface quality. This means that a lot more surface area can be produced from a trunk of high-quality wood than if solid wood boards were produced, and veneered boards are correspondingly cheaper.

Although we define the highest quality criteria when selecting the wood, Plywood can still warp. Unfortunately, this is the nature of plywood.

The most important thing to remember is to unpack the panels immediately upon arrival and store them weighted down. Ideally, give the Plywood 1-2 weeks to acclimatize, this will reduce the amount of warping. You can also lightly (!) moisten the plates on the concave (outside) side with water and store them again with weight.

One could fill entire books on this question, but in brief:

Plywood is usually made from peeled veneer. When producing peeled veneers, logs are clamped and rotated around their own axis. During the rotation, a knife moves to the trunk and “peels” the trunk. This gives the veneer a natural curvature. When the veneers are then glued together in layers, the veneers should ideally be rotated - so that the curved side points upwards once, the curved side of the next veneer points downwards, and so on.

But plywood usually has an odd number of layers, otherwise the bottom and top would have different grain directions. So there is always an inequality in tension.

Other very important factors for any delay are temperature differences and humidity. If there are large fluctuations (e.g. during transport and storage location), the layers of plywood may expand or contract at different rates.

Die Holzplatten sollten unbedingt flach liegend, in einem Umfeld mit möglichst gleichbleibender Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit lagern. Bei starken Temperatur- und Luftfeuchtigkeitsschwankungen kann es zum Verzug kommen!

Weiters empfehlen wir, die Produkte mit einem Gewicht zu beschweren, um zusätzlich Verzug vorzubeugen.

Zu beachten ist, dass sich die Farbe von Holz durch UV Einstrahlung (= Sonnenlicht) verfärben kann. Dieser natürliche Prozess fällt insbesondere dann auf, wenn eine Platte nur zum Teil von Sonnenlicht bestrahlt wird, da dieser Teil dann farblich abweichen kann.

Ja! Die Edel-HDF Platten haben wir auch bereits als lackierte Varianten auf Lager.

HDF steht für High Density Fibre boards, oder auch Hochdichte Faserplatten. Oft auch Hartfaserplatten genannt bestehen diese Platten aus feinen Holzfasern, die zuerst mit Wasser vermischt, und dann bei Hitze und Druck zu einer Platte gepresst werden (= Siebdruckplatten). Dieser Vorgang erfolgt für unsere Platten gänzlich ohne Leim!

HDF Platten haben die Eigenschaft sehr fest, verzugsfrei und mit einem Rohgewicht von circa 1.000 kg/m³ sehr schwer zu sein.

Bei WOOD4PROS bekommst du HDF Platten entweder in roher Form oder mit edelfurnieren verpresst als Edel-HDF Platten!

SmoothyPly, eine Entwicklung aus dem Hause Almbusch, besteht aus einer hochreinen Zellulosefaserplatte, die beidseitig mit Edelfurnieren belegt werden.

Die Zelluloseplatten bestehen zu 100% aus Holz, werden in Deutschland produziert und bieten für den Laser markante Vorteile. Einerseits sind die Platten sehr leicht, haben eine geringe Dichte und lassen sich dadurch sehr leicht und fast schmauchfrei schneiden! Noch dazu ist SmoothyPly formstabil und bruchfest!
